Old Stories

"Old Stories," is a powerful and moving cycle of love and loss poems that capture the complexity and intensity of human relationships. The narrator imagines a world of intense passion and boundless love, where two partners give their all without reservation. But as with many relationships born of such idealistic intentions, their love affair ends in sadness, loss, and severe depression. The narrator struggles to make sense of the separation, which seems to have no clear reason beyond the realization that they have grown apart.

Through its powerful language and poignant imagery, 'Old Stories' take readers on a journey through the narrator's psyche, capturing the pain and confusion that follow a breakup, as well as the sense of loss and longing that comes with the realization that they are now just a footnote in each other's lives. The poems offer a message of hope and resilience as the narrator learns to navigate the challenges of everyday life and find a path forward.

The collection's poems explore the complexities of relationships, from the height of passion to the depths of despair. Drawing on vivid imagery and evocative language, they attempt to describe themes of love, loss, and resilience, inviting readers to experience the depth of human emotion in a raw and honest way.
